VISITOR AND HOST RULES

  • The host is responsible for anything the visitor does during the visit.
  • The host or person in charge will swipe their personal badge once for each visitor to let them enter Company areas, and then swipe their badge again for themselves.
  • The host or person in charge must have an Company photo badge ( employee or contract worker).
  • The host or person in charge must tell the front desk or security right away if any visitor badges are lost, stolen, or broken. Give the visitor a new badge if they need one. 
  • If someone visits and then leaves, they must give their badge back to the Security Guard or the front desk.

 


BADGE POLICY

  • Badge-holders must always keep their badge secure and with them while on site.
  • Badge-holders must wear their badge above the waist where it can be clearly seen when inside Company buildings.
  • Badge-holders must immediately report any lost, stolen, damaged or terminated badges to security or the badge office.
  • When people stop working at Company, they must give back their badge. They should return the badge to Human Resources, a manager, or a Security Guard. This needs to be done before they leave on their last day.
  • No-one can have more than one active photo badge at a time

SAFETY INDUCTION

A safety induction is conducted to welcome new employees to the company and prepare them for their new role. MOCK DRILL

Mock drill is a practice & training which helps to understand how to save our life in real time of any kind of danger situation.

Why mock drill is important/ purpose?

The main purpose of mock drill is to check the reaction of employees, workers & people also understand their responsibilities at the time of danger situation

BENEFITS OF MOCK DRILL

·        Mock drill helps to increase moral & confidence of employees.

·        It improves co-ordination.

·        It checks the competency of planned action

 

HOW TO CONDUCT MOCK DRILL?

·        Conduct meetings with all workers & staff.

·        Discussing on what activity or task is going to be perform by team.

·        Selection of victim for playing role.

·        After meeting now all workers are engaged in their work.

·        Start the process (accident will happen).

·        Suddenly a worker will trap in an accident & will act like an injured.

·        Call out nearby site supervisor / engineer / safety person or any concern person.

 

 

·        Try to understand the condition of victim.

·        First aider will check the condition & give first – aid.

·        Call the ambulance & emergency team.

·        Ambulance come to the accident location.

·        Shift victim on the stretcher.

·        Ambulance will go to hospital.

·        Note down all scenario step by step with time.

·        Which time mock drill start? (Start to end).

·        Which time worker injured?

·        Which time call to engineer?

·        Which time first aid given?

·        Which time ambulance arrived at site?

·        How long ambulance take to reach in hospital?

·        Note down lapses as well.

·        Conduct review meeting with all staff & site management.

·        Make a report of mock-drill & calculate the time & if any lapses then review the lapses point & improve co-ordination




LOCK OUT & TAG OUT (LOTO)

Lockout & tag out (loto) or lock and tag is a safety procedure which is used in industry to ensure that dangerous machines are properly shut off and not started up again prior to the completion of maintenance or servicing work. It requires that hazardous power sources be "isolated and rendered inoperative" before any repair procedure is started. "Lock and tag" works in conjunction with a lock usually locking the device or the power source with the lock, and placing tag affixed to the locked device indicating that it should not be turned on.

DO’S & DON’TS OF FORKLIFT OPERATION

DO’S

·        Ensure operators are trained & licensed to use the fork lift.

·        Perform visual checks before each work shift/ day.

·        Wear appropriate PPE (When inspecting & operating).

·        Keep arms & legs inside the cab.

·        Wear seat belts while driving.

·        Report any damage / defects & incidents to safety manager.

·        Mark defects/ damages with bold & clear warning labels, signs & tags.

·        Plan the route you will take for accurate hazard assessment & prevention.

·        Drive within the posted speed limit & in approved areas.

·        Sound horn at intersections, blind spots & when backing up.

·        Keep sufficient distance from other vehicles & forklifts.

·        Take care when approaching pedestrians always give them right of way

DON’TS

·        Operate a forklift without training & a license.

·        Operate a forklift that is posted for defects & damage.

·        Load a forklift beyond its capacity.

·        Brake suddenly or take sharp turns.

·        Take a turn on slopes or inclines.

·        Drive with slippery hands, gloves or boots.

·        Drive beyond the posted speed limit.

·        Operate if the load obscures your vision.

·        Leave the forklift unattended.

·        Use forks to push or drag a load.

·        Allow people to stand or walk under lifted forks.

·        Lift people up on forks.

·        Lift lower or tilt the forks without applying handbrakes.
